Sample Sales Make Me Smile

I have died and gone to Kate Spade heaven. Thanks to Emily over at Em For Marveous, my afternoon plans have just been cancelled, because this sample sale is worth checking out! Sidenote: my eating for the month of March has probably just been cancelled too, because I don't know if I'm going to be able to save a dollar after all of the cuteness I just witnessed.

Is this real life? Was something this perfect for me actually created? If this necklace were a man, I'd marry it.

Flicker Scout Bag. Was $368. Now $159.

I absolutely adore this bag! I think I'm turning into King Midas with my gold obsession.

Plus, check out the inside. Polka dots!

Kati Cardigan with Jewels. Was $325. Now $129.

Remember my love for cardigans? It has just been fueled.

Cheree Heel. Was $325. Now $162.

These working-girl shoes make me want to get a job just so I have an excuse to wear them. Quite the selling point, eh mom?

Crystal Kaleidoscope Necklace. Was $295. Now $129.

This pretty little necklace would match with anything, and dress up even the most casual of outfits.

Oh Kate Spade, how I love you. To see even more sample sale items, and continue your swooning of course, click here.

Engagement Session: Holi Moly!

Nope, that's not a typo. Holi moly is right! This engagement session by the super talented Jerry Yoon is probably one of the most fun looking photoshoots I have ever seen, thanks to its use of Holi powder. To learn more about holi powder and the Holi festival click here, but right now let's get to the photos!

Look at those colors! It's a neon lover's dream.

They even got the photographer involved!

How fun does this couple seem? I bet their wedding was a blast!

I'm not sure if I would use holi for engagement photos, but it would be so fun to do a Christmas card shoot with it. Just imagine: "Have a colorful Christmas!" Yep, that's happening.

XOXO,
AJ

Real Wedding: Vintage Details

I first spotted this little gem on Once Wed, one of my favorite wedding blogs, and it's safe to say it was love at first sight. I have such an appreciation for a couple who takes the time to work out the little details, and I really think it makes the day that much more special. And just wait until you see this venue, it is to die for. All of the photos were taken by Nancy Neil Photography, and I think you'll agree that she did an amazing job. Scroll down to see all of the wedded goodness from Amanda + Will's big day. (Bonus points for a rockin' name, girl).

I love when brides provide cute getting ready outfits for their wedding party! How cute are those robes? And don't even get me started on Amanda's vintage-inspired wedding gown.

Oh that calligraphy! I especially love the shot of her ring on top of the invitation.

I told you the venue was a stunner!

Every wedding lover knows the best part of the ceremony is the groom's reaction, but I think Amanda's face is pretty touching, too.

Guests sat on hay bales adorned in blankets while the couple said their "I do's." This is a great alternative to chairs- it's comfy, intimate, and cost affective.

Talk about a wedding party! I'm starting to become a huge fan of floor length bridesmaids dresses, especially in pretty pastels like these.

I love her floral head piece! What a romantic, whimsical addition to an already stunning gown.

This wedding was such a vintage stunner. What was your favorite part? I think mine is a tie between her dress and the gorgeous location.

Have a fabulous day,
AJ

Real Wedding: Country Charm

Oh my goodness, y'all. I don't think I've ever loved a wedding more than this one! (And that's saying something, because I do my fair share of wedding blogging). First of all, the men wore pink pants. PINK PANTS! Does it get any better? It is safe to say that the bride has style to spare- she did everything right! From the romantic barn reception to the ruffled bridesmaids dresses, I couldn't spot a single thing I would change. Check out these photos, courtesy of Something Pretty Photography.

Check out that invitation suite! If there is anything I love, it's beautiful typography. They totally nailed it.

That dress! That hair! Swoon.

There is something to be said about a rustic, white bouquet. This is so southern chic, I just love it.

Barn receptions are all the rage right now, and for good reason. They're intimate, classic, and a comfortable place for your guests to mingle and dance! Two-stepping, anyone?

If you thought the venue was great, check out this attire:

And now the ceremony:

See what I mean? A ceremony by the water- just perfect.

This might be my favorite shot from the day.

Or this one :)

Just breathtaking!

Congratulations to the happy couple, and great work by Erin Brauer of Something Pretty Photography.

Wasn't that just the greatest? What makes a wedding memorable to you?

Until next time,
AJ

J. Crew Classics

There are few constants in a girl's life: her family, her friends, her dog, and her favorite clothing brand. (And for the lucky few- a good guy!) For me, nothing quite compares to J. Crew. From the 3" chino shorts to the perfect cardigans, they do no wrong. Here are a few of my favorite J. Crew staples.

Ah, the pencil skirt. What a classic. Maybe it's the college senior in me, but I can't wait to start wearing working girl clothing, and this skirt is the perfect fit. It comes in so many colors it'll make your head spin and your wallet empty.

The 3" chino shorts are quite possibly my favorite clothing item I've ever owned. They look great on any body type and come in right-on-trend brights, as well as the necessary classics. My favorites are the white, navy, and hot pink because they match with just about anything.

You don't have to have grandchildren to understand the value of a great cardigan. I absolutely adore the animal print number pictured above. The typical go-to cardigan for me, though, would have to be the Jackie. It's lightweight enough to wear on summer nights, and sturdy enough to last forever. Plus, cardigans allow even the least fashion savvy girl to look chic- just pop it on over a tank or tee, accessorize, and voila!

I can't say enough about my love for blouses. They are so feminine and classy and match with literally everything. Paired with the No. 2 Pencil Skirt shown above, this would be such a great day-to-night outfit. The possibilities are so endless! Plus, it comes in a myriad of colors to keep your wardrobe bright.

It's this simple: every girl needs a chambray button-up. The material is so soft you'll want to sleep in it, and they match perfectly with this season's brightly colored pants and shorts. I think the first week I bought mine I wore it every single day (don't judge me!).

These belts are the greatest. They can be worn with everything pictured above: around the waist of the No. 2 Pencil Skirt and the 3" Chinos, cinched around the cardigan to give yourself more of a figure, the possibilities are endless. Plus, they're so bright they add a fun pop of color to even the most basic of outfits!

Happy shopping!
